New Year

So, I know it isn't a new year YET, but it soon gonna be! And you know what? it's already 2011 in Australia!
So... Yeah, according to our wierd era (?) it will be 2011 very soon, today.. or actually tomorrow! Not because the world is that "young", or because we found out anything really big which changed the whole world 2011 years ago... but it's important that we have some numbers on times, otherwise it will be hard to keep control on time!
But really, I'm always kind of afraid, in a way, because "uuh a totally new year" like we are going past some line.. but really, it's not even because it's the exact time it takes for the sun to get around the earth, so acutally.. it isn't anything special ^^
I have never thought new year was anything special, but I have always been afraid what would happen! - But really, if you think about it, it is.. nothing? really...
BUT! Enough about me! YOU! and Panik! Now, we are about to start a totally new year. And what will happen?
Not much happened this year, acutally almost a very boring year, nothing big really, or? .. Not much happened for Panik, or the old members. of course Linke got a new "band", Juri joined and left a band, Frank told he was about to make a album and he was actor in his first moooovie.
Timo and David? Well.. what happened with them? - Jan we didn't hear much about!
We got a trailer for At Second Glance - woa! And nothing more xD
But they did as well play their last concert together (without Linke)
- Well, I hope you all had a nice year, and I hope you all are satisfied with what I have been doing here at the blog :)
Thank you for all your support! Thanks for this year, eventhough everything has become more silent through this year...

I'm just home again, thanks to Jess for posting the news about the video and the new song!
Well... I acutally wasn't right about the fact that there wouldn't come a new "Es ist Zeit" (a new song at Christmas eve) - well well, so, no At Second Glance, we still have to wait for the, if we even ever gonna see it, but we got a new song! - Now we know we can expect one each year, wow, 10 years and we have a album!

Hi all of you people!
I'm leaving tomorrow and will be gone until 28th December.
Therefore I will not be here at Christmas, and I will not be able to tell you if a new "Es Ist Zeit" will come this year :) hehe, probably not gonna happen soon. Anyway, seems like they are in studieo anyway!
So, I will probably not be writing news before the 28th or 29th December.

The future on the blog about Linke's band etc.

Hi guys! So, now it's time to work this out..
Anyway, I will just say this 'cause I believe you might expect me to do so, Jason, is leaving Linke's band!
Well.. as it look know, I have written a LOT of news about Linke's new band and so on..
Basic, I have this blog and I will write about the old members of Panik. Though, the limit of how to do and how much to write is pretty hard!
How much should I tell about Linke's band? Only the news which direct touch Linke? And should I write everytime he puts on a new song? And then what about Juri? I haven't written much about his band and so on. The reason I have written so much about Linke is really because he kinda himself created this band, and I need a way to separate those two things, and that's kind of hard!
So... I will not be writing anything about the other members in Linke's band anymore! I might write some of the important stuff about Linke's BAND, in itself, and then of course about Linke. Juri I try to write so much about as possible, but I won't write about the other members either.
So, what do you guys think about that? Is it fine by you?
You can imagine if I should write about EACH of the old members, and then each of their new bands and all the members in the new bands - it would end up being a lot lot of work!
So, please tell me if you think there is something I REALLY REALLY should write about!

There is a lot of excitement right now! We just announced the members of the band: Chris Linke, Jason Goodhue, Ryan Truax and Yutaka Sao. The band has been together and rehearsing for about three months, preparing for shows in LA and other US cities.

He is playing in a band "The deadlies". He has been working with a lot lot of different bands and artists! He lives in Los Angeles. He has two cat which he really likes, anyway if you judge from his big photo album on facebook and myspace with only photos of the cats ;)! He has a girl friend, and is 28 years old :)

One year

Hey everyone! Sorry it's so long since I have been writing news, but I haven't been able to get on any computer before now! I hope you are all still there ;)

So today. You might all know what the day today means to all of us, all the Panik fans around the world. Might be the worst day for the Panikfans's history if you can say so! A day full of tears. Now it's one year ago, a whole year have gone since the day Panik told us they would break up, that they would leave each other. Some time later we found out that Timo and David would keep on with Panik.
You can't really say much has happened this year, or what? Well, the first months Panik played their last concerts and David and Timo put out a new song the 24th December. Not much has happen apart from that really, not for Panik anyway. Timo alone has been making his short movies, which we probably never gonna be able to watch and David has been producing for a lot of different bands. Linke has got very far with his new solo career, news about Frank and his solo debut album has come too. Juri has joined a new band and Jan is studing. Though we don't hear much from them anymore. For me, not much really has happened, but we can hope that a lot of new stuff will happen the next year.
Last year, on this date, I wrote that I might not keep on writing this blog. It was a horrible day, but anyway I kept on. And I kept on writing about each of the members, as much as possible. And I really hope you guys are glad that I made that choice.

I wonna tell you, that making this blog actually is a lot of work for me. (And I lot of boring Twitter updates writing).
It's hard for me, as a single person to find all news possible about Panik and the old members. As well it's hard for me to find time to write news. So I really hope you appreciate what I am doing ;)
And I have to admit, it's kind of hard for me to keep on sometimes, when nothing really happens, and I'm not even sure if I write this for nobody... When so few news comes and nothing really is there to wake you up, it ends up being a pretty hard job :) Please make some more comments! I would love that!

Hey,
benutzt man heute noch MySpace? Sollte ich nen eigenen Blog machen oder aus nostalgischen Gründen hier bleiben?

Gleich zu Anfang. Mir werden häufig Videolinks zugeschickt, aber das hier ist eines der Besten. Es ist wohl das erstes Interview, was ich jemals gegeben habe. Ich weiß nicht, wie alt ich da bin und auch nicht, was ich bloß an dieser Frisur gut fand. Was ich noch weiß ist, dass es wohl im Hamburger Stadtpark aufgezeichnet wurde, in dem mein Stiefvater Fred mit seiner Band ein Konzert spielten. Mitte der Neunziger war Illegal 2001 deutschlandweit sehr bekannt und ich denke damals wurde ich von dieser ganzen Musikgeschichte ziemlich angefixt. Das waren ziemlich intensive Jahre und ich habe zum ersten Mal Backstageräume, Caterings, Fernsehkameras und was sonst noch alles dazu gehört, gesehen und halbwegs verarbeitet. So richtig gerafft habe ich das Ganze als kleines Kind natürlich nicht.


Ich habe das Video gerade eben, seit über 10 Jahren, das erste Mal wieder gesehen und es ist ein komisches Gefühl. Einerseits betrachte ich den kleinen Burschen als einen Fremden, anderseits kommt so ein vetrautes, aber altes Gefühl in mir auf. Ein Gefühl, dass ich schon Jahrzehnte nicht mehr gefühlt habe. Kennt ihr das?

An jedem neuen Tag entscheidet man, wer man ist. Bin ich die Person, die ich noch vor 5 Jahren war? Nein, aber es war notwendig diese Person zu sein, um zu werden wer ich bin. Und es hört nicht auf. Es geht immer weiter. Man lernt jeden Tag dazu, man verändert sich jeden Tag ein kleines Stück. Entweder man wird weiser oder man wird härter, man öffnet oder isoliert sich, weil man weiß, wie es ist verletzt zu werden. Im Grunde machen wir doch Alle das Gleiche durch. Wir lernen immer wieder neue Leute kennen, kommen näher in Kontakt und verändern uns dadurch. Weil wir durch genau diese Leute lernen, wer WIR selber sind und wer WIR sein wollen.

Also überleg mal, warum dich gewisse Dinge an einer anderen Person so aufregen? Es hat immer was mit dir zu tun. Immer.
Andere Leute nehmen nämlich die gleiche Person völlig anders war.

Naja, um ab zu schließen: Ich bin dankbar für die Zeit, auch wenn ich so vieles vergessen hab, bin ich dankbar. Es war eine schöne Zeit und selbst wenn ich mich nicht mehr an jedes Detail (wie das Interview) erinnern kann und sich Leute verändert, sich Wege getrennt haben, bleibt diese Zeit für immer in mir. Ein Teil von mir ist in diesem kleinen Burschen und dieser kleine Bursche ist ein kleiner Teil von mir.

Right from the start. I frequently sent Videolinks, but here is one of the best. It is probably the first video that i ever gave. I don't know how old I was there, and also what I thought was good about that hairstyle. What I do know, is that it was probably filmed at the Hamburger Stadtpark, in which my stepdad, Fred, and his band played a concert at.
In the mid-ninety's, Illegal 2001, was well-known throughout Germany, and I think at this time I was pretty fixed from the whole the music-history. These were relativley intense years for the first time I had seen the backstage rooms, catering, TV cameras, and everything else that belongs with it, and how it all worked. As a kid, I of course, didn't grasp it all.

I have just seen the video for the first time in over 10 years, and it's a wierd feeling. On one side i consider the little boy as a stranger, and other side, it's a familar, but old feeling. A feeling, that I haven't felt in a decade. Do you know this?

In every new day, you learn who you are. Am I the person I was 5 years ago? No, but it was neccesary to be that person, to be who I am. And it doesn't stop. It always continues. You learn everyday, everyday you change yourself a little bit. Either you become wiser become harder, you open yourself,or you isolate yourself, because you know how it is to be hurt. We all do it through the same thing. We are always meeting new people, become closer in contact, and change ourselves for it. Because we learn through these people, who WE ourselves are and WHO we want to be.

So think about it, why do you find some people so hurtful? It always has to do with yourself. Always. Other people take the same person differently.

Well, to finish off: I am thankful for the time, also when I have forgotten so much, i am thankful. It was a nice time and even though I can't remember every detail (like the interview) and people change, paths seperate, these times always stay in me. A piece of me is in this boy, and this boy is a small piece of me.

Franky kennen die meisten als Sänger von Nevada Tan und Panik. Neben seiner Musik arbeitet er aber auch als Schauspieler, und da er neue Fotos brauchte, hat er mich engagiert. Franky ist nicht nur extrem fotogen, sondern auch ein wahnsinnig sympathischer Typ, mit dem ich sehr gerne zusammengearbeitet habe. Wir haben aus lauter Begeisterung auch ein paar analoge Fotos gemacht, allerdings bin ich wegen zu viel Arbeit noch nicht dazu gekommen, die Filme zu entwickeln…

Franky is not only extreme photogenic, but also a insane (very) sympathetic type, with whom I have worked very pleased.
